Fire door as fire protection devices<\/strong> with a specific fire resistance, most often EI30 or EI60, they act as a fire separation, protect for a certain time against the penetration of flames, temperature and smoke into the room.<\/p>

In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Interior and Administration of June 7, 2010 on fire protection of buildings, other construction facilities and areas, fire doors equipped with control systems should be subject to technical inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with the principles set out in Polish Standards, in the documentation manual and in the operating manual prepared by the manufacturer. The technical and operating documentation clearly indicates that the fire door should be checked periodically. Negligence in the inspection of fire doors may adversely affect the safety of people and generate problems in the event of compensation payments.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • checking the gap between the floor and the leaf,<\/li>
  • checking the paint coating,<\/li>
  • inspection of hinges and their fastening,<\/li>
  • checking and possibly correcting the fastening of locks, bolts, handles,<\/li>
  • checking the condition of the intumescent seal,<\/li>
  • lubrication of hinges and other moving elements,<\/li>
  • checking the fastening of the door closer mechanism,<\/li>
  • checking the condition of the glazing and glazing gaskets.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Should fire doors be marked?\n<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The regulations do not clearly specify whether and how fire doors should be marked. We recommend, however, that they should always be marked with a special sign “Fire doors. Shut up!\u201d to indicate their specific purpose.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
